Fruity Flapjacks

These dairy and nut free flapjacks are a winner for kids and adults alike and great for a lunchbox treat.


  • 1 ripe mashed banana
  • 100g rolled oats
  • 100g chopped dates or other dried fruit
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey (optional)


  • Pre heat oven to 190 deg C
  • Mix all ingredients together in a bowl with hands or spoon
  • Put baking paper into an oven tray (roughly 25x15cm)
  • Spoon the mixture in and press down
  • Bake for 25 minutes
  • Cool in tray for 5 mins and then cool on a rack
  • Cut into squares
  • Keep in an airtight container for 2-3 days or in the freezer and remove as needed
